Module 1 : European Business Environment

PART A)  European Institutions

Because of the obvious need for students to have a theoretical and practical understanding of how to integrate European business in the world economy,  students are explained how the E.U. works and how they should work with the E.U.

It examines the functioning of the EU institutions as per the Nice Treaty, the important role of non-institutionalised actors in EU decision-making and through team work, students will have the opportunity to examine a few aspects of the dynamics between EU institutions and the global business environment, within the EU community and outside, with their foreign trade partners.

PART B)  European Regional Dynamics

To provide an appreciation of the regional dimension of Europe and the European Union this course focuses on both the regional manifestations of the market dynamic within Europe and the regional policies of the EU. Students will learn about regionalism as both a consequence of market dynamics and as a focus of public policy.
