"I enrolled in EDHEC MEB to study in English and more importantly, to become part of an international team." Founder and Managing Director, Ubiquicity, New York, USA

After graduation I started my professional journey and joined BNP Paribas' Syndication, Trading & Placement Group in New-York. In this role, I pitched, evaluated, structured and closed over 10 transactions, for a combined value in excess of $5bn. As an analyst I had the chance to be the direct contact for medium sized companies and to play a major role in a few landmark transactions for the bank. Working and closing a landmark deal had a major impact on BNP, putting the group in the US Syndication League Tables top 10.
In 2003, I joined the Acquisition Finance and Loan Structuring group as it was being created. In this new position, I performed extensive financial modeling and cash flow analysis to design and offer the debt deals to my clients. Acting as a trusted advisor in heated situations such as M&A and balance sheet restructuring, I played a leading role not only for my clients but also for the group. This role culminated in working side by side with my manager Ayman on an unsolicited $2.2 billion takeover bid. Working both in Paris and New-York, we explored several debt structures and provided our client a higher level of debt and financial flexibility than the client had initially envisaged. Through situations like this, I learnt to cope with stress and manage time, hierarchy and client demands. This deal was in a way the quintessence of the two years I spent in investment banking: reinforcing my corporate finance and client management skill set while living in the center of the financial world.
I then joined the consulting industry as a member of the Business and Information Strategy team at Capgemini Consulting where I worked on a variety of engagements from the reorganization of a major French brewer's sales force to the launch of new products in the financial industry or cost reduction through process re-engineering.
Today, I have a clear vision for my career: My long term goal is to become a business unit manager in an international group such as L'Oreal. In order to fulfill this vision, I needed to further sharpen my leadership and financial skills in a challenging yet unique environment such as New-York. What better place than the world capital of industry to launch my own business (a relocation services agency and dedicated services for expatriates).
